Ky-Mani Marley, one of the richest and most famous Reggae Singers was born on 26 February 1976 in Falmouth Jamaica. He starred in the iconic film Shottas opposite another singer Wyclef Jean. Ky-Mani signed with Shang Records in 1996 where the album was released Like Father Like Son. He has also released a number of singles, like Judge Not with Patra as well as Dear Dad (which reached the highest position on the British Reggae Charts) and Who The Cap Fit Remix and Sensimelia. Each of these songs contributed to his growing popularity with the new generation of reggae musicians. Ky-Mani performed with Praswell of Fugees for Avenue in 1997. The song was an incredibly successful cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley performed at the Midem event (an international showcase of music) that was the first time it was staged in Miami. Marley's show at the Cameo Theatre was broadcast live to 36 different countries by Caribbean News Agency. Marley was a target in auction warfare. He joined Gee Street/V2 Records. He was there to finish his collaboration with P.M. Dawn who sang"Gota Movin"Up" in the track. Bob Marley's wife Anita Belnavis, a table tennis champion, is his only parent.
