Barton first made an appearance on TV in 1994, playing the role of the role of a young Corvina Lang as a flashback character in the soap-opera All My Children. In 1996 Barton returned to All My Children replacing Michelle Trachtenberg who played Lily Benton Montgomery. In April of 1996, Comaneci got married to American Olympic Champion Bart Conner and they have a son Dylan Paul. They run a range of businesses that deal with gymnastics, including Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Comaneci has a number of charitable organizations, including Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association (SIMD) and Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. In addition, she continues to support a variety of charities in Romania, including those at the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital.
